Collect customer reviews for your business website

Use it to ask customers about work you have completed and show their experiences beside your services. Start with what it collects, where the review appears, and what you still need to handle yourself.

Onelios is free review collection software for small businesses: you choose customers to email, each receives a private link, and their own words and rating publish to your Onelios website. It does not monitor review sites or post replies, and a website review is separate from a review on Google.

A request from start to finish

From a completed job to a customer's own words

Suppose you have finished a yard cleanup for Alex. This is a fictional walkthrough of the product, not a customer review.

  1. You choose when to ask.Open Reviews, select Alex's inquiry or enter their name and email, and send the request. An inquiry or booking does not send it automatically.
  2. Alex receives a private review link. The email asks about the experience. No suggested rating or prewritten review is supplied.
  3. Alex writes and submits a review. The form asks for one to five stars and their own words. A submitted review appears on your site with their first name, including a low rating.
  4. Google is a separate choice. If you added a Google review link in Settings, Alex can open it after submission. That option appears for every rating; posting on Google requires another action there.

The invitation in practice

Subject: “How did we do? — [your business name]”

The email thanks the customer, asks how the work went, and includes a Leave a review link. The link works once and expires after 30 days. The customer can ignore the request.

Read the outcome correctly

Request created
A private link exists. This can be counted even when the email fails to send.
Email accepted for sending
The email service accepted it. Check with the customer if it is missing; this is not proof of inbox delivery.
Review submitted
The customer completed the Onelios form. Open your public site to check the published words and rating.
Google review
Check Google separately. Onelios does not measure whether the customer completed that step.

Ask up to 50 customers per round, with up to four rounds per day. An address asked in the last 30 days is skipped. These limits also apply when you type a customer's details yourself.

Set up the optional Google step before sending

  1. In your Google Business Profile, open Read reviews → Get more reviews and copy your review link.
  2. In Onelios Settings, paste it into Your Google review link and select Save review link. This is separate from the social or profile link in your website's footer.
  3. Open the copied link yourself and check that it leads to the right business. Inspect the destination; do not submit a test review of your own business.

Google documents how to find your review link. Adding it here does not connect or sync your Google account.

If the request does not lead to a review

The email was not sent, or the result is unknown
Read the dashboard message. A request may already have been created, so repeated sending is not a reliable fix. Check the address and ask support to investigate.
The link has expired or was already used
Check whether a review is already on your site. Each link works once; it cannot be reused to edit a review. A new request is subject to the same 30-day waiting period.
The invitation arrived but the customer did not respond
A review is optional. Do not add words on the customer's behalf to complete the request, or treat an unanswered invitation as a positive review.

Still setting up the website? Follow the publication and account-verification steps first. Ask for feedback after real work, including work arranged through appointment requests.

How to send your first review request

Publish your business website, verify your account email, and open Reviews in the dashboard. Select customers who supplied an email with a quote request or booking, or enter one customer's name and email. Send the request when they have actually experienced your service; submitting an inquiry alone does not make someone ready to review it.

The customer opens a private link, chooses a rating from one to five and writes their own review. Onelios publishes the review with their first name and notifies you by email. The customer does not need an Onelios account.

Each link can be used once and expires after 30 days. A customer who was asked within the last 30 days is skipped, including when their email is typed in manually. The same customer can be asked again after that period, so this is not a one-review-per-person guarantee.

Requests are sent when you choose to send them. Completing a job does not automatically trigger an email, and there is no bulk list upload. Customers who left only a phone number need an email address before you can ask them here.

Choose customers by completed work, not expected rating

Use a consistent rule for deciding whom to ask, such as customers whose work you have completed. Do not select only people you expect to give five stars. The inquiry list is a contact list, not a record proving that every listed person became a customer.

Before selecting a name, check that the person actually used your service and that the email belongs to them. A useful first round might be the completed jobs you have already followed up on, including customers who raised a concern. Let each customer decide whether to respond and what to say.

For Google reviews, Google's policy prohibits incentives and selectively requesting positive reviews. Do not offer a discount for a review, dictate a rating, or ask someone to change a negative review in return for a benefit. Offering the same Google link after every rating does not remove your responsibility to choose recipients fairly.

Where the review appears: your site and Google

A review submitted through an Onelios link appears on your business website. It is not copied to Google. If you save your Google review link in Settings, every customer who completes the form is offered that link as a separate next step, regardless of the rating they gave.

The customer must choose to open Google, sign in to a Google Account and submit a review there themselves. Onelios cannot publish it for them, retrieve your Google reviews, or reply to them. Manage those reviews directly on Google.

Your website includes rating structured data once reviews exist. Google's review-snippet guidance excludes a business's reviews about itself from review-star rich results, including reviews embedded through another provider. Treat website reviews as information for visitors, not a promise of stars in Google Search.

Who writes the reviews, and what can be changed?

Onelios does not generate reviews. A review arrives either through a customer's private link or because you add a genuine review a customer already gave you. The public site does not label these two routes differently, so an owner-entered review is not an independently verified customer submission.

A customer-submitted review publishes without waiting for your approval, including a low rating. You cannot edit the customer's words through the Reviews screen. You can remove a review; that control should not be used to present a misleading picture of customers' experiences.

For an existing review you add yourself, keep the words and rating faithful to what the customer actually gave you and obtain permission to republish where needed. Do not turn private feedback into a public endorsement without checking with the customer.

What to do after a review arrives

Read the review and check how it appears on your public site. For a complaint, follow up with the customer using the contact details you already hold. There is no reply feature on Onelios, including for reviews on your own website, so a private follow-up does not create a public response below the review.

The notification email includes the rating in its subject. If the customer also posted on Google, you can reply there separately. Keep any public response specific to the issue and leave private customer details out of it.

The dashboard distinguishes requests created from reviews written. A request count includes links created even if the email was not delivered; it is not an inbox-delivery or review-completion count. If a customer did not receive the request, check the address and ask support to investigate delivery before repeatedly sending it.

When Onelios is a good fit

Onelios fits an owner who wants email review requests and customer feedback on the website they run here. Review collection is included free right now, with no card. If you need monitoring across several review sites, text requests, or replies from one inbox, those capabilities are not available in Onelios.

For example, after completing a repair, you can select the customer from the inquiry list, send a request, and let their own account of the work appear beside your services. You still decide when to ask and handle any follow-up.

Before adopting it, check where you need reviews to live. If your priority is Google reviews, set up your Google review link and explain that posting there is a separate customer action. Collecting a website review does not guarantee a Google review or a change in search rankings.

Common questions

Is this full reputation management software?

It covers email requests and publishing reviews on your Onelios website. It does not monitor reviews across other websites or provide a shared reply inbox.

Why is a customer missing from the request list?

The list comes from recent inquiries with an email address and excludes addresses asked in the last 30 days. For a genuine customer who is not listed, use the name and email fields. Entering them manually does not bypass the 30-day waiting period.

Do I need to verify my email first?

Yes. Sending a review request requires a verified owner account. Publish your business site, verify your email, then open Reviews to choose or enter a customer.

What happens if a customer leaves a bad review?

It publishes without an approval step, just like a positive review. You receive an email with the rating. You can contact the customer privately, but there is no way to post a reply on your Onelios site.

Can the same person review twice?

The same link cannot be used twice and expires after 30 days. Another request can be sent after the 30-day waiting period, so the system does not enforce one review per person for life.

Will reviews appear on my Google Business Profile?

Not automatically. Save your Google review link in Settings to offer it after a customer submits their website review. The customer must submit a separate review on Google; Onelios cannot copy or post it for them.

Will my website get review stars in Google Search?

A local business's reviews about itself are not eligible for Google's review-star rich results. Onelios includes rating data when you have reviews, but that does not change Google's eligibility rules.

Can I add a review a customer already gave me?

Yes. Enter the customer's genuine words and rating in Reviews, with permission to republish where needed. The public site does not distinguish owner-entered reviews from those submitted through customer links.
